In July, we organised a befriending session in collaboration with HCA Day Hospice, a leading provider of palliative care. Over 20 volunteers had the opportunity to speak to beneficiaries from all walks of life while engaging in fun activities with the beneficiaries. Participants were given the choice to choose from a wide array of fun activities such as wheelchair zumba, banner painting, sports day, board games and karaoke. The wide range of activities meant that each participant could choose an activity that suited their interest and hobbies. An activity which was particularly fulfilling was banner painting which involved participants working together to paint a banner that was later exhibited in HCA Hospice. Overall, the program was lauded by HCA staff for being very successful in keeping the beneficiaries entertained throughout.
