Hey Meddies!
Looking for an activity to do with friends ‘cos y’all can’t eat out in 5s? Wish to meet new friends from diff unis? Look no further as we’re presenting an opportunity to volunteer as befrienders at HCA Day Hospice!
HCA would be allowing up to 5 volunteers to visit on any given day.
HCA Hospice has been a leading provider of palliative care to patients who are approaching the final destination of their life journey. Some of their patients opt for day hospice as they can engage in leisurely activities and socialise, while retaining an independent life at home. 🏠
Without volunteers, things can get a little mundane day-to-day at the hospice. So, we hope that volunteer befrienders can bring more colour to their lives, with meaningful activities to keep them interested and happy at the day hospices!
Locations:
- Seragoon/Boon Keng – HCA Day Hospice
- Marsiling – Kang Le Day Hospice
Duration: Mid-End July
- 1.30pm – 4.30pm
- 10am – 4.30pm is also available!
A day at the hospice usually starts with patients coming in from 9am – followed by breakfast, morning exercises, lunch and free-and-easy activities – before heading home from 4pm.
You could do anything from conversing with them to playing mahjong to origami – or get creative with the activities! 🎨🎤🎲🏓 You might also be involved in disinfecting the premises! 🧤😷🏨
Sign up by 11th July with your friends or make new friends along the way!
