Charity initiatives first began in 2019, spearheaded by the 2019 Events Directors. Funds were raised for the Apex Harmony Lodge, the first purpose-built lodge for people with Dementia in Singapore and goodie bags were donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Singapore via the Oncology Happy Snack Pack programme. The 2020 Events Committee is hoping to continue with charity initiatives this year, to allow SMSANZ members to continue giving back to society.
