Current/Upcoming Opportunities

MINDS (Next event: tentatively end of 2026)

MINDS (Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore) is one of Singapore’s oldest and largest social service agencies. Its primary aim is to provide lifelong support to people with intellectual disabilities (PWIDs) and their families while advancing their full inclusion and integration into society.

This year (2026), we aim to organise a befriending event which connects student volunteers with PWIDs. During the event, volunteers will engage them in games, recreational activities as well as meaning conversations to foster friendships and promote social inclusions. Through the event, we hope to not only provide students with more community experience but to also create a fun and supportive environment for all participants.

Project HomeWorks (Next event: tentatively end of 2026)

Project HomeWorks is a local community initiative in Singapore launched in 2006 by Habitat for Humanity Singapore to clean, declutter and repair the homes of vulnerable elderly, sick and disabled individuals.

This year (2026), we aim to organise a volunteering event with Project HomeWorks to help with the decluttering, cleaning, organising, painting and caulking of homes as well as to help assemble furniture.

NKF Befriending

During the June holidays in 2026, we organised a befriending event for NKF Singapore at the Serangoon centre. Volunteers conducted interactive activities such as playing Chinese chess, colouring, connect-the-dots and word puzzles, the dialysis patients had an enjoyable morning and afternoon. Volunteers had a meaningful time interacting with the patients and learning more about their day-to-day lives. The patients enjoyed having someone to chat with during their dialysis, and through sharing their stories, the volunteers established a strong rapport and cherished the connection with each and every one of the patients there.

Past Programs

HCA Hospice 2023

In July 2023, we organised a befriending session in collaboration with HCA Day Hospice, a leading provider of palliative care. Over 20 volunteers had the opportunity to speak to beneficiaries from all walks of life while engaging in fun activities with the beneficiaries. Participants were given the choice to choose from a wide array of fun activities such as wheelchair zumba, banner painting, sports day, board games and karaoke. The wide range of activities meant that each participant could choose an activity that suited their interest and hobbies. An activity which was particularly fulfilling was banner painting which involved participants working together to paint a banner that was later exhibited in HCA Hospice. Overall, the program was lauded by HCA staff for being very successful in keeping the beneficiaries entertained throughout.
